Refund & payment policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
Two statuses
Every payment has a payment status (from the gateway) and a government status (settlement by the issuing authority). Your challan is marked paid only when the government status is confirmed.
Failed payments
If the gateway reports a failure, no amount is recorded against your challan. If money was debited, your bank reverses it according to its timelines.
Payment received, settlement pending
We keep checking with the authority automatically. Do not pay again — we block repeat payments while settlement is pending.
Settlement rejected
If the authority cannot settle a payment we received, our team is alerted automatically and will either complete settlement or refund you to the original payment method.
Disputes
Challan disputes are decided by the issuing authority or court. Paying a challan may affect your ability to contest it — check before paying.
