Challan Setu

Frequently asked questions

Is this a government website?

No. Challan Setu is an independent service that retrieves challan information from authorised sources. See our government disclaimer.

Why must I verify my vehicle?

Verification (last 5 characters of the chassis number) ensures only owners or authorised users can see a vehicle’s challans.

My payment succeeded but the challan still shows “Awaiting confirmation”. What now?

Your money reached the payment gateway, and we are waiting for the issuing authority to confirm settlement. This is usually quick but can take longer. Please do not pay again. We keep checking automatically and will notify you.

Money was deducted but the payment shows failed.

Banks sometimes take time to update. Check again after a few minutes. If it still looks wrong, raise a ticket under Support with category “Money deducted”. Failed payments are reversed by your bank according to its timelines.

Can I pay a court-referred challan here?

No. Court-referred challans must be resolved through the court process. We show their status so you can keep track.

A challan is wrong or not mine.

Raise a ticket with category “Incorrect challan” or “Dispute”. Disputes are decided by the issuing authority; we help you with the right next step.

How many vehicles can I add?

Up to 10 per account. For larger fleets see Business.
